An idea for an ESD clamp to protect laser diodes. I've used this circuit with a high power mosfet to act as a Laser Diode dummy load, but with a smaller and much faster mosfet, it should clamp ESD transients in one direction and provide the mosfet body diode to conduct ESD trnasients in the oposite direction.
